Terry Allan Franklin, 80, of Walnut Grove passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Ash Grove HealthCare Facility and Rehabilitation.
He was the son of Walter Marshall Franklin and Opal Luehrmann. He was born and raised in the St. Louis area and is survived by his wife, Woody Lee Franklin née Florence ; son, Timothy (Connie) Allan Franklin of Walnut Grove; niece Sherri Lynn Franklin of St. Ann, MO; sister-in-law, Maribeth Ann Hubbell of Pacific, MO; and many Coburn and Dusza cousins in southeast Missouri.
Terry was a police officer for 30 years in several municipalities in St. Louis County and graduated from the Traffic Management Institute at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
He moved his family to the Springfield, MO area in 1986 where he sold guns at Consumer’s Hardware, worked as a service writer for several car dealerships, and was Chief of Police for a short time at Walnut Grove.
Terry has been cremated per his wishes, and no services are planned at this time. Burial of cremated remains will be at Liberty Cemetery in Seymour, Webster County, MO at a later date.
